Our client is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for QSR and/or Retail projects! This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.
LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH ARCHITECTURAL/DESIGN BACKGROUND – THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL PROJECT MANAGER
Summary/Objective:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will be responsible for reviewing construction and/or architectural documents for new or existing projects. The role focuses on the production of construction documents rather than design.
Responsibilities:
Experience in QSR (quick service restaurants) or retail projects (think big box brands – Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Best Buy, etc) Prepare and develop layouts and architectural drawings according to client requests. Coordinate drawings of the Draftsperson according to project specifications. Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other programs to develop layouts and diagrams with attention to specification details. Consult technical handbooks and guidelines and assist in landlord research. Interpret and apply state and local code compliances. Prepare documents for project authorization and management of bidding processes. Maintain accessible hardcopies and electronic files and records of survey office reports. Execute site surveys as needed. Interact with clients on project clarification and other architectural requirements. Ensure compliance with all architectural guidelines and standards. Provide architectural support to the Project Manager on multiple projects. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience as an APM or Job Captain in an architectural firm. Ability to interpret construction data, engineering calculations, and drawings. Strong proficiency in Revit. Proficiency in AutoCAD with strong 3D design skills Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Experience drafting retail or commercial construction documents preferred. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to multitask and produce accurate work. Must possess strong time management skills and the ability to handle the pressure of tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
Architectural experience (by OJT or formal education). Experience in retail stores and restaurant design. Involvement in or responsibility for the production of construction documents.
