A Beverage Lead works alongside the Beverage Manager to execute the beverage program at an Eataly location.
Reports directly to the Beverage Manager and Senior Beverage Manager or Beverage Director and reports functionally to the Restaurant Assistant General Manager of the assigned restaurant outlet.
Trains managers, servers and chefs about wines and beverage pairings at daily pre-shift meetingsEnsures all service staff is educated on and can speak confidently about the beverage options on the menu and guides the guests to an enjoyable experienceAssists in the scheduling and supervising of front of house personnelShares knowledge and appreciation for Italian food and beverage with all guests, providing excellent and responsible beverage serviceWorks towards target revenue per guests and revenue per month as set by managersUpdates wine and other beverage resources and informationMaintains an accurate daily wine and beverage inventory, assisting with stocking and cellar maintenanceEnsures the restaurant POS system is in line with menu pricing and that pricing is up to datePerforms other duties as required or assignedQualifications2+ years of sommelier/wine-related experience Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Italian food and beverage knowledge preferred
