Location Downtown Full/Part Time Full-Time Exempt from Classified Service No Minimum Rate 92972.97 Min Pay Frequency Yearly Maximum Rate 151339.19 Max Pay Frequency Yearly Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Two years of satisfactory performance as a Rail Traffic Controller are required OR five years of experience in a mass transit or a rail transportation operational environment requiring the resolution of operational problems related to scheduled services, equipment failures and other service disruptions are required. Completion of college level coursework from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. The MDT classification of Chief, Supervisor, Rail Traffic Control performs safety-sensitive functions and is subject to the provisions of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Drug and Alcohol Regulations. Recruitment Notes This position oversees employees responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing rail transportation operational activities for the Metrorail and Metromover systems. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, multitasking abilities, computer proficiency, and the capability to enforce established safety policies and implement contingency plans to maintain service continuity.
