Need/Basic Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience in Parts department in automotive or industrial equipment parts 2 years management required. Forklift or material handling parts sales experience or product knowledge preferred. Strong MS Office experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent customer service skills Strong initiative, self-starting, and goal-oriented mindset Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in task orientated environment.

Education and Certification Needed:

High school diploma or GED Associate degree or technical college certification preferred. What you’ll

Do:

Manage a team of two to six parts associates developing goals, setting and monitoring team daily tasks, and ensuring excellent and accurate customer service to both internal and external customers. Determine parts department staffing needs against business conditions. Participate in and make parts department hiring, selections, promotion recommendations, and any separations decisions. Maintain KPI workbook for branch including Sales (counter and work order), Gross profit, Inventory turns, Shelf availability, Sales per person, and Freight. Ensure parts department meets sales goals including monthly sales incentives, technician incentive programs, customer programs, and personal contact with the top 10 customers in branch Monitor open sales orders, open purchase orders, open return claims, and no bin/negative balance items. Maintain parts performance for customers at Off shelf availability of Toyota parts 85% and other parts 80% Deliver 24-hour turnaround on OEM service department quotes, 48-hour turnaround on off brand quotes. Ensure next day availability of all non-stock parts if available (customer’s option to pay for next day air charge) Provide quarterly updates of all consignment inventories by road van specialist Maintain parts department to required performance levels Responsible for parts team career development, including: Maintaining Toyota online training at 100% Participation in OEM training seminars Completing annual performance reviews ensuring Associates have a clear understanding of job duties. Interacting with customers face-to-face and via phone. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
