Position OverviewAs the GeneralManager, you are responsible for focusing on developing leadershiptalent, running a profitable business and executing strategicinitiatives to deliver an exceptional customer experience andexceed financial results. Direct responsibility for sales and profit performance,ensuring sales & margin goals are met Own strategic planning and execution of company initiatives,optimizing impact for your store location Create a consistent customer experience aligned to RL brandexpectations by setting a vision to inspire your store team Shape a client development strategy and lead community outreachefforts in your market Set talent strategy for your store, building and developing ateam with the customer at its core, who can deliver on yourvision Source, recruit and retain high performing talent throughcontinuous feedback and coaching Educate and train team to build new skills and enhancecapabilities Maintain exceptional productivity standards through impeccableprocess management including inventory and store shrink goals Champion use of new technology in support of New Ways ofSelling techniques and More Ways to Shop to drive businessresult Uphold all company policies and procedures Provide feedback to cross-functional partners, identifying highprofit potential and category business trends for your storemarket Ensure sales floor and all store standards exceed expectationsat all times Create an inclusive environment aligned to core Ralph LaurenCompany values and Cultural Focus AreasExperience, Skills &Knowledge College Degree or equivalent a plus Retail Management or similar industry experience in a complex,high-volume or high-profile specialty environment preferred Ability to effectively communicate with customers and storepersonnel Ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stock/dressingroom, cashwrap and office; work around/with chemicals, lift/climbup to 30 lbs. and climb moderately Ability to operate the register, stand, move and walk formultiple hours Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of thebusiness, which will require day, evening, weekends and may includeovernight shifts and travel (as required) Proven track record of success, including a demonstratedability to build and maintain positive working relationships withcustomers, management and co-workers.
