We are looking for a Site Manager (Savannah) (m,f,d) in Savannah, Georgia Job responsibilities: Willing to get hands dirty and has used machine tools, welding equipment, and/or hand tools while training/helping electricians, mechanics, and other shop floor personnel to meet deadlines Provides leadership and direction to the plant including, but not limited to: planning, production, processing, quality, and maintenance Oversees the overall activities of the plant to ensure customer orders are serviced efficiently and to top customer satisfaction. Ensure company quality standards are met to customers’ requirements and service level agreements. Analyzes plant operations and key metrics to maintain operational efficiencies within each department Collects and reports reliable information to measure the performance of the site Ensures that appropriate SOPs are developed, executed and maintained for all aspects of our business Is responsible for ensuring customer needs are satisfied through scheduling processes which ensure that products are manufactured, loaded, and shipped to various branded and core customers Responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements and guidelines Assists technical support staff on resolution of customer complaints and issues of product quality Provides a high degree of leadership and management of employees to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating. Education & experience: 5+ year’s hands-on management experience in an industrial manufacturing production environment managing a team and/or projects at a high level.

Qualifications:

Strong manufacturing experience with good understanding of fabrication processes, machine shop production equipment capabilities, and assembly in manufacturing of steel parts and machine tools Thorough understanding of regulatory laws such as ISO, ITAR, OSHA and responsibilities as they pertain to strong manufacturing practices and continuous Improvement methodologies Proven track record of improved results in the areas of quality, safety, service and cost Ability to select, mentor, coach, train/develop, engage, and retain a team of employees Experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred) Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite Excellent communication, supervisory and training skills Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem solving skills Desirable Experience (not required) : Bachelor degree or equivalent; minimum of seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
