We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team, achieving sales goals, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the overall appearance and organization of the store. This role requires strong leadership skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.

What You Will Do:

Manage all store operations, including opening/closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management. Recruit, train, and develop store staff to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction. Monitor sales performance and set sales targets to drive store profitability. Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer concerns in a professional manner. Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked according to visual merchandising standards. Analyze sales data and prepare reports for upper management. Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations. Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize store performance. Suggest and recommend gear options based on customer needs. Facilitate sales and returns of merchandise. Troubleshoot walk-in customer issues. Monitor the general appearance of the store. Manage the workflow of the team, ensure staff coverage and delegate tasks. When needed, work with Phone Sales Supervisor to coordinate coverage for the store. Assess the work performance of team members and identify areas of improvement. Ensure business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met. Evaluate and maintain inventory levels as well as make recommendations on items to stock in-store. Work closely with the Director of Customer Experience to develop, coordinate, and manage promotional ideas and events for the store. Meet weekly with the Director of Customer Experience to discuss performance of team members and identify areas of improvement, including staff levels, product offerings, store appearance, store events, etc. as well as provide status updates and discuss ideas to improve customer experience and sales. Skills and Experience Needed to be

Successful:

High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field is preferred. Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar supervisory role. 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control environment Previous experience leading and training team members Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Effective at performing detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced environment Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments and levels Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook) Familiarity with 5S or other lean organization methodologies Demonstrated ability to reconcile shipment documentation (e.g., manifests, packing slips, BOLs) Strong organizational and time-management skills Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset. Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Accurately count and reconcile item quantities against shipment documentation Identify and resolve numerical discrepancies in inventory records Comfortable using basic math functions in spreadsheets (e.g., totals, comparisons) Ability to apply simple logic to verify unit counts, order accuracy, and fulfillment rates
