The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of fresh produce is available to our customers while managing inventory, sales, and staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and an understanding of retail operations within a grocery store environment. Duties Manage the daily operations of the produce department, ensuring all products meet quality standards. Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking fresh produce. Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and maximize profitability. Train, supervise, and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain department standards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the handling and storage of produce. Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding product placement and promotions. Handle cash register operations accurately, including cash handling procedures. Maintain an organized and visually appealing display of produce to enhance customer shopping experience. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless store operations. Experience Previous experience in grocery store management or a similar retail environment is preferred. Strong background in inventory management and control practices. Proven skills in cash handling and operating cash registers. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in sales management within a retail context is a plus. A commitment to providing outstanding customer service is essential.
