LIMITED, you will oversee multiple store locations, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to our core principles. This role is pivotal in driving sales performance and enhancing customer satisfaction across your district. The role of the District Sales Manager is to drive the company’s key performance indicators by delivering an exceptional customer store experience. Utilizing business knowledge, the District Sales Manager will effectively execute and quickly adapt strategies to ensure operational excellence, merchandising execution, maximum productivity, and profitable sales. The District Sales Manager will drive high performance across all initiatives and ensure consistency within assigned stores. The District Sales Manager will lead, develop, coach, and inspire their team to deliver the MUJI standards across all business areas. Responsibilities Establish and lead the execution of district business strategies to drive store Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results that maximize performance and achievement of sales plan and goals. Develops district level strategies to achieve financial, operational, and portfolio goals. Control all aspects of the annual budget process, including sales, controllable expenses, payroll, and shrink results Communicate and drive profitable sales through effective business analysis; identifying financial opportunities and action plans to address current business challenges and deliver desired results. Understands Portfolio barriers to growth, defines problems to solve and ensures leaders are focused on portfolio priorities to deliver the best customer experience. Plan and execute effective, productive store visits reviewing KPI performance, Personnel, Visual Merchandising, Operations and provide proactive feedback. Hold Store Team Leaders accountable for the execution of all operational responsibilities and instill a high standard for compliance Motivate the team through a compelling vision and direction to encompass MUJI’s Core values Maintain strong relationships and collaboration with peers, cross-functional partners, and head office to leverage expertise in developing and executing strategies. Leading through our values while effectively collaborating and communicating information to deliver the right experience. Conduct conference calls and team meetings. Support new store openings / renovations and other needs across MUJI stores as needed. Ensure that all visual directives are executed seamlessly and within the scheduled time frame and maintain knowledge of product assortment and key items Recruit, hire, develop and retain top management talent for the district, including filling all open positions in a timely manner Develop an effective succession plan that leads to internal promotions, including performance appraisals for all management. Develops leaders by working shoulder-to-shoulder to build capability, ensuring operational standards and the best customer experience is delivered in the store. Train store leadership and create development plans. Recognize performance issues in a timely manner and partner with the Sales Director and Human Resources to develop action plans for resolution. Ensure MUJI hiring procedures are being followed. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years of multi-store supervision experience / store operations strongly preferred High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem‐solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Creates an inclusive culture of excellence where teams thrive and have a collective commitment to deliver the best customer experience. Ability to work in a fast‐paced and deadline‐oriented environment and influence peers and leadership team. Prioritizes the right work and creating strategic and balanced plans to deliver to expectations.
