We’re passionate about high-quality craftsmanship, innovation, and building a strong, skilled team to support our expanding operations. Position Summary We’re looking for a hands-on Composites Shop Manager to lead our production floor and help drive the next phase of our growth. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in pre-preg, resin infusion, and wet layup processes, and is comfortable working directly with composite materials from layup through to post-processing. You’ll be leading by example—working alongside other technicians, mentoring junior team members, and helping us build out a capable, quality-focused shop team. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations in the composites shop Perform hands-on composite layup and post-processing (cutting, trimming, sanding, bonding, etc.) Ensure quality and consistency across all composite parts and assemblies Train, mentor, and help hire additional technicians as the team grows Work closely with production and engineering teams to meet project timelines and quality standards Help implement and improve shop processes and best practices Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Qualifications 3-5 years of hands-on experience in composites manufacturing Proficiency in pre-preg, resin infusion, and wet layup techniques Strong experience in hand laminating and post-processing of composite parts Attention to detail and a high standard of craftsmanship Strong organizational and communication skills Experience working collaboratively in a team environment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and layup schedules CNC machining or trimming experience is a plus Prior management or team lead experience is a bonus but not required What We Offer A collaborative and growth-focused work environment Opportunities to shape the future of our composites team Competitive pay based on experience Potential for advancement as the company expands
