Job Description
- Maximize sales and profits in the Deli Department through proper displays and case merchandising
- Greet customers, respond to customer questions/requests and explain store policies
- Orient and train new deli employees, order deli products and supplies from authorized vendors.
- Prepare/organize the cooler/freezer/preparation area for receipt of merchandise, unload trucks, verify the merchandise against invoices, inspect deliveries for shortages/damages and sort cases for stocking product
- Clean department floors, cases, freezers and preparation areas
- Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, substituting for absent workers and performing any additional tasks necessary
