Join us as Team Lead of our kennel department. If you are passionate about providing fear free care to all animals and have a knack for leading teams, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

Lead the kennel department team in providing compassionate and fear-free care to all animals during their stay at our facility. Participate in hiring, training, and coaching of kennel team members, and scheduling staff shifts. Monitor animal well-being, behavior, and health, reporting any changes to the veterinary staff. Uphold Fear Free standards and oversee Fear Free initiatives within the department. Maintain a clean and safe environment in the kennel and daycare areas. Perform temperament evaluations and discuss behavioral challenges with pet owners. Organize and plan special events for daycare, and ensure adherence to hospital processes and protocols. Ensure efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and profitable growth in the department.

Qualifications:

Experience in a leadership role within a veterinary setting. Experience in a leadership role within a dog boarding, daycare or training setting. Strong commitment to animal welfare and providing exceptional care. Knowledge of Fear Free practices and willingness to implement Fear Free initiatives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage a team, solve problems, and drive departmental growth.
