Summary We are seeking a Finishing Department Supervisor to join our team at Baker Furniture. This role is pivotal in overseeing departmental operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and leading a skilled team to achieve production goals. This role involves ensuring quality control, compliance with specifications, and the timely completion of production workflows. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations within the department to ensure efficient workflow. Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Conduct quality inspections to maintain high standards of product output. Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Manage inventory levels and ensure proper maintenance of equipment. Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Assist in training new staff on operational procedures and best practices. Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical processes. Experience with quality inspection techniques and standards. Familiarity with machinery such as lathes, cranes, and forklifts is preferred. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
