The Catawba County ABC Board is excited to announce that we are expanding! We currently have an opening for a Store Manager position within one of our Catawba County locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the store and ensuring excellent customer service, efficient inventory control, and team leadership. This position may be assigned to any of our stores in Catawba County at the discretion of the General Manager. - Duties
- Completes all Store Clerk position duties in additional to the following:
- Scheduling, ordering, inventory, auditing cash, offloading trucks, and transfer of inventory to sales area.
- Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees
- Answers customer’s complaints or inquiries, and keeps GM informed of any potential risks or concerns.
- Responsible for training employees and insure they have adequate training to complete their job.
- Ensures and enforces operational and personnel policies are followed according to guidelines.
- Evaluates customers for possible impairment and ensures purchasers are 21 years of age.
- Ensures standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met
- Develop professional relationships with vendors and works to create effective marketing displays for sales floor.
- Qualifications
- Previous retail management experience required (at least 5 years, more is better)
- Thorough knowledge of inventory, opening and closing procedures, including processing banking deposits
- Ability to lift up to 40# and stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide guidance and supervision to employees
- Able to think thru a problem or situation and provide appropriate solution
- Able to work thru schedule changes to ensure smooth operation of store
- Must be flexible to work during store hours from 10AM-9PM Monday
- Saturday.
