Job Description:
Provides managerial and clinical supervision for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Coordinates bed placement, assigns and reallocates staff as needed to assure safe patient care levels. Assures enforcement of all policies, procedures, processes and takes corrective action when indicated. Responsible for the overall function of PACU providing support, direction, education, and counseling to assure all patient care goals and those of our customers are met.
Hours:
M-F 7:30am-4:00pm
Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing. Current NC or compact state RN license. ACLS and PALS certifications will be required at the first opportunity after hire.
Preferred:
Baccalaureate or Masters Degree in Nursing. Experience as nursing supervisor in an acute care setting, critical care experience.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of acute care hospital nursing experience in ASU, OR, CCU or ED is required with charge /supervisory nurse experience. Excellent communication skills and proven leadership experience. Must have excellent organizational skills with ability to keep team focused on goals and customer service.
