Store Manager Le Macaron French Pastries Chapel Hill 140 West Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 Chapel Hill, North Carolina Must be available to open store daily at 10:00 AM or earlier OR/AND close at 9:00 PM (Store closed on Mondays) Le Macaron French Pastries is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Store Manager to take over the day-to-day operations of our charming bakery. We are looking for someone passionate about customer service, enjoys team leadership, and thrives in a clean, organized, and friendly environment. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in retail or food service management, looking to grow with a reputable and beloved franchise. The position can be structured as either part-time or full-time, depending on availability and experience. Responsibilities Open the store daily and ensure readiness for business by 10:00 AM or earlier OR/AND close the store to be open the next day at 9:00 PM Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth, efficient service Supervise and train staff, manage scheduling, and foster a positive team culture Maintain cleanliness, organization, and brand standards Handle inventory management, ordering, and receiving of supplies Manage sales reports, deposits, and basic administrative tasks Provide excellent customer service during shifts and resolve any issues as they arise Communicate with franchise owners regarding store performance and needs
Requirements:
Must be punctual and reliable with morning availability to open the store and evening availability to close the store. Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or food service management preferred Strong leadership and organizational skills Ability to multitask and take initiative Must be willing to learn and adapt quickly Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer-first mindset Basic computer literacy for using POS systems, scheduling, and reporting High School / GED / College degree preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; performing, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems.
