Jeremiah’s Italian Ice of Wendell Falls is hiring an experienced and dependable Assistant Manager to help lead our team and support daily operations. This is a leadership role best suited for candidates with prior supervisory experience in food service or retail who are ready to take full responsibility for store performance during opening, closing, and solo shifts. You’ll be responsible for team oversight, guest experience, store cleanliness, basic administrative tasks, and on occasion, off-site events.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Store Management Open and/or close the store independently (

Opening:

10:00 AM;

Closing:

up to 10:30 PM weekdays, 11:30 PM weekends) Run shifts independently during slower seasons (especially fall/winter) Maintain cleanliness, prep products (e.g., making ice), and keep the store organized Assist with catering orders and work off-site vending events within a 15-mile radius Team Leadership Supervise, delegate tasks, and lead by example during each shift Uphold team morale and productivity during high-traffic periods Provide coaching and feedback as needed Guest Relations Deliver outstanding guest service during every interaction Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally and efficiently Manage refunds, adjustments, and ensure accurate POS handling Cash Handling & Admin Duties Count and reconcile registers at open and close Oversee shift labor and monitor productivity Maintain store standards and ensure shift coverage when needed

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a shift lead, supervisor, or manager (restaurant or retail preferred) Confident working independently and delegating tasks Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills Reliable, professional, and team-focused Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs and stand for long periods Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and rotating holidays
