Retail Shift Leader Cary Park Ventures 317 South Academy Street, Cary, NC 27511 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our grab & go market. Our company is called Market 317 located in beautiful Downtown Cary Park. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient store operations, and maintaining high standards of inventory management and sales performance. This position will participate in tip sharing as well! Duties Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during assigned shifts to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and conducting regular stock audits. Assist with sales management by implementing promotional strategies and monitoring sales performance. Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling. Provide training and support to new employees on operational procedures and customer service expectations. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive shopping experience. Collaborate with upper management to develop strategies for improving store efficiency and profitability. Experience Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is needed. Strong skills in inventory management and stock control. Experience with POS systems is highly desirable. Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Proven track record in shift management or supervisory roles is beneficial.
