POSITION

PURPOSEThe individual in this position is responsiblefor assisting the Store Manager with achieving and/or exceeding thestore’s sales plan, while ensuring profitable store operations andperforming all functions necessary to provide superior customerservice. This includes the appropriate control, management and/ordevelopment of all resources including store personnel,merchandise, cash and budget, and facilities. The Assistant StoreManager assumes supervisory responsibility in the Manager’sabsence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/KEY

ACCOUNTABILITIESSalesInpartnership with the Store Manager, ensure store meets or exceedsweekly, monthly, annual sales budgets and consistently contributesto the company’s overall achievement. Model Lindt standards and core competencies through everydayactivities (leadership, commitment, passion, sales focus, drive forresults, etc). Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the store’s salesmission and the ability to communicate it effectively in actionableterms to the store staff. Quantifiably articulate overall store metrics andperformance. Motivate staff, build brand commitment and hold staffaccountable to meeting critical internal KPI’s and external salesopportunities. Identify and capture external sales opportunities to include,but not limited to, business-to-business contacts, externalnetworking events and marketing opportunities. Proactively manage inventory levels in accordance with store’sindividual trends to ensure stock levels are in line with salesdemands and quality assurance guidelines, while minimizing out ofstocks, overstocks and dated product.

Staff DevelopmentSupport StoreManager with hiring, managing and developing store personnelaccording to Lindt & Spr–ngli guidelines and standards in order toensure a knowledgeable, friendly, well-trained staff. Assist with recruiting qualified individuals for openpositions. Proactively and effectively network to provide viablecandidates for the store and district. Help to train staff to company standards, ensuring dailyoperations and sales are achieved. Assist with training and developing staff sales techniques,ensuring expert product knowledge is consistently demonstrated andthe brand is accurately represented to the customer. Escalate issues to Store Manager and Retail District Manager inan effective and timely manner.

Operational ControlsIn partnershipwith the Store Manager, ensure store meets or exceeds companystandards for operational controls. Inventory Control/Shrink. Cash Management (POS, paperwork, logs, Policies ⪻ocedures). Responsible for audit compliance (DM Store Visits, LossPrevention and Food Safety). Payroll/Labor Management. Compliance with specific store scheduling templates that aredesigned to meet the needs of the business. Expense Control (sampling, damages, supplies, etc.). Follow company directives in a timely and accurate manner. Comply with all quality assurance Policies & Procedures.

Skills& Knowledge Proven sales background. Demonstrated selling skills; working knowledge of outreach andcorporate selling programs a plus. Proven success in supervisory role, preferably in a specialtyretail environment. Basic math and/or accounting skills.

Experience 1+ Years of prior Retail Management experience — preferably ina premium specialty environment. Prior experience with computerized POS system. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently liftand/or move up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach witharms.

EducationRequired:

High School Diploma or equivalentrequired.

Preferred:

Associates Degree, some college education.

OtherRequirements:
