Retail Store Manager Discount Station Manchester, NH 03103 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. A Thrift Store Manager’s primary duties involve overseeing daily operations, managing staff and volunteers, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maximizing store profitability through inventory management and merchandising. This role requires a dynamic individual passionate about retail management and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers. Manage employee schedules, breaks, and PTO.
Operations & Inventory:
Oversee store operations, including donation sorting, pricing, and displaying items. Maintain a clean and organized store presentation.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Financial Management:
Manage budgets, track sales, and ensure proper handling of cash and bank deposits.
Merchandising & Sales:
Develop and implement marketing/advertising plans to attract customers. Create engaging displays and curate store window presentations.
Reporting & Communication:
Prepare reports on store sales, activities, and operations. Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and management.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Maintenance:
Ensure store maintenance is accomplished, including cleaning, upkeep, and addressing building/facility issues.
