The Parts Department Manager will manage vendors, manage schedules, assign tasks, as well as provide leadership and guidance to all parts department personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and monitor effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. Promote and merchandize parts and accessories in conjunction with other shop locations. Create annual Parts Department goals and budget aligned with the organization financial and operational objectives. Develop and execute the Parts Department marketing plan, in conjunction with the company Social Media Marketing Specialist and monitor monthly metrics to achieve goals. Maintain accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes physical inventory and counter procedures. Submit all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame, for maximum credit. Maximize use of all order discount programs to achieve stock order management goals. Ensure all department tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order. Collaborate with the vehicle build team (NEWS) to ensure all necessary parts are ordered and on hand. Work with the service department to prepare estimates/quotes for retail and internal customers. Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers. Manage time effectively and pay close attention to detail when documenting information. Oversight of department employee schedules, and performance evaluations. Create and maintain a positive workplace culture. Perform any other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficient knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics. Proficient interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma. Advanced knowledge of vehicles, their electrical systems, and the mechanisms of gas and diesel engines. 3+ years of experience in motor vehicle parts and service management.
