Position:
A/R Manager Reporting to:
Credit and A/R Director Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily A/R operations, including collections, account maintenance, and dispute resolution Lead and support resolution of department store chargebacks, deductions, and customer disputes Track, accrue, and reconcile customer allowances against the GL, P&L, and balance sheet Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain and monitor A/R aging reports to ensure accuracy and timely collections Help lead and guide a team of three (including potential for 1-2 direct reports), serve as point of contact for escalations, and coach junior team members Collaborate with other departments on the RLM system migration currently underway this summer, and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives Use Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) to manage reconciliations and reporting
Requirements:
5-10 years of experience in A/R and general accounting Experience with chargebacks, deductions, and reconciliations Solid understanding of debits, credits, GL flow, and journal entries Strong Excel skills; RLM and/or AS400 experience preferred Background in retail/wholesale A/R, ideally with department store accounts Excellent verbal and written communication skills Customer-service mindset with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach Self-motivated and resourceful—not just someone who works independently, but someone who adapts when plans change and brings back better solutions Calm, loyal, organized, and dependable Confident enough to suggest improvements—not just follow the status quo Bachelor’s degree required (any field; minimum bachelor’s required)

$75,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
