Shop Manager/Fabricator Position Available In Bergen, New Jersey

⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Shop Manager/Fabricator (Midland Park) compensation: Hourly Based upon Experience employment type: job title: Shop Manager/Fabricator Busy commercial glass and glazing construction company located in northern NJ is seeking an experienced full-time Shop Manager. Experience in shop management is required. Knowledge of Aluminum Storefront Fabrication is a plus but would be willing to train a qualified candidate. Applicant must be motivated, organized, and detail oriented. Daily Shop Management Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the shop, including fabrication, quality control, inventory, organization and space management, deliveries, logistics and maintenance of warehouse.
• Oversee fabrication to meet the demands of the Project Managers and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
• Inspect equipment, tools and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
• Ensure Warehouse Space is clean and organized.
• Maintain vehicles ensuring inspections and registrations are current and report any repairs required.
• Oversee and manage the loading of materials and transportation to jobsites.
• Receive deliveries and label packing slips.
• Fabricating aluminum storefront materials
• experience not required; we are willing to train.
• Must have forklift certification Fabrication Responsibility
• Assembly of Aluminum Entrances
• Cutting and Assembly of Aluminum Storefront
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs
• General knowledge of blueprints (Willing to train)
• All other duties as assigned Requirements
• Must speak, read, and understand English to understand and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively read and use a tape measure.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to multitask
