Job Description:
The Retail Store Manager reports to the Regional Manager. The Store Manager is responsible for sales, operations, and the customer experience for the Adult-Use and Medical businesses at their location. The Store Manager upholds customer service, company values, and culture of the brand making the customer a priority of every interaction. The Retail Store Manager is accountable for managing sales performance and identifying sales opportunities, adherence to laws and regulations, inventory management, POS and payment solution management, staffing, and employee development. The Store Manager’s performance is assessed through achieving sales, service, and operational performance goals. Key Duties & Responsibilities Leads, motivates, and inspires store team members. Coaches employees to create a customer-centric environment resulting in a memorable and positive customer experience. Delivers exceptional customer service by observing, listening, interacting, and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction. Works proactively to solve customer complaints and concerns. Builds and increases customer retention, fostering strong relationships, and developing brand awareness and loyalty. Acts as a Change Champion, initiating and supporting positive change and development. Adheres to all Northeast Alternatives policies and procedures. Oversees and maintains training and comprehension of state and local compliance laws and regulations. Responsible for all store opening and closing procedures. Responsible for all cash handling, store fund management, and daily deposits. Responsible and accountable for store P&L and controllable expenses. Responsible for the fiscal management of payroll spend, office supplies, and product expiration. Analyzes and reports on financial performance. Works proactively to increase market share and profitability. Recruits and trains the highest quality candidates per Northeast Alternatives standards in collaboration with the Human Resources department. Provides constructive feedback to help employees meet expectations and goals. Responsible for staff scheduling, time and attendance management, sick time approval, time-off requests, and payroll accuracy. Has accountability over and tracks performance management of all employees in partnership with Human Resources. Conducts regular meetings with dispensary personnel to communicate changes and ensure successful operations and compliance. Conducts daily shift meetings to communicate any product changes and other directives for successful operations during that shift. Maintains outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards. Maintains a clean and safe environment for all employees and customers while making cleanliness a part of the daily culture. Participates in networking and community outreach to create positive relationships within the community. Responsible for management and maintenance of store inventory, in-store and online menu accuracy, and display accuracy. Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience in Retail Management. Has a flexible schedule and is available to work any hours including; weekends, nights, and holidays. Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Demonstrated ability to understand legal documentation and interpretation. Possess a can-do attitude, resourceful, action-oriented, reliable, and a team player. Excellent communications skills as applied to internal teams, customers, vendors, and regulators. Experience improving efficiencies, identifying necessary tools, and establishing processes. An entrepreneurial spirit and motivation with flexibility and adaptability. Possess a tremendous sense of urgency, problem-solving, and organizational skills with great attention to detail. Over 21 with the ability to obtain an MA agent registration card; Completion of state cannabis tracking (METRC) processing center training. Excellent time management, analytical skills, multi-tasking skills in a challenging environment. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs. Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.
