Floral Shop Manager/Floral Assistant Wildflowers Florist Township of Wall, NJ 07719 Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Floral Shop Manager to lead our retail flower shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales and customer service, As the Floral Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage inventory, handle paperwork as need be, scheduling, maintain the displays in our gift shop, assist with simple floral design and wedding set ups, monitor emails, social media marketing/posts and ensure that our customers receive exceptional service while fostering a creative environment for staff, along with, essentially, being the “right hand man” to the owner of the shop Must be a self starter, organized, reliable and on time Duties Manage the floral staff including training, and scheduling to ensure optimal performance. Create visually appealing floral and store displays that attract customers and promote sales. Utilize retail math to analyze sales trends and manage inventory effectively. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their floral needs and offering expert advice on arrangements and care. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain cash handling procedures. Collaborate with the owner and staff to coordinate special events, promotions, and seasonal displays. Maintain knowledge of current trends in floral design and gift lines to better help customers. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the floral shop. Knowledge and use of social media a plus. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is required; experience in a floral or garden center is preferred. Some knowledge of flowers and plant techniques is advantageous. Proficiency in retail math to assist with inventory management and sales analysis. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus. Demonstrated ability to sell products effectively while providing outstanding customer service. Experience with cash handling procedures is essential. Knowledge of computer and POS systems greatly encouraged.
