Handex is on the move! Handex is seeking a Refinery Site Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the safe and efficient operation of a chemical refinery dewatering process and ensuring compliance with regulations and meeting production/operation targets. This onsite supervisor position will be based in Linden, NJ. Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC (Handex) is a full-service environmental company focused on providing professional environmental consulting, remediation, construction, emergency response and sludge dewatering services in the United States. Key Responsibilities & Objectives:
Supervising personnel: Directing and motivating field tech, ensuring they follow procedures and best practices.
Monitoring operations:
Tracking operations, quality, and efficiency, identifying potential problems and taking corrective action.
Coordinating maintenance:
Working with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
Ensuring safety:
Collaborating with Safety Department and implementing and enforcing safety procedures, conducting safety audits, and responding to emergencies.
Ensuring compliance:
Adhering to all relevant regulations, including environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Meeting production/operation targets:
Working with field techs to achieve production/operation goals and optimize processes.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues:
Addressing operational problems and ensuring smooth plant operations.
Training and development:
Providing training to operators and supporting their professional development.
Documentation and record keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of operations, maintenance, and quality control.
Communication and collaboration:
Working effectively with management and other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Salary Range:

Requirements:
What You’ll Bring to the
Table:
Technical Knowledge/Experience:
10+ years of overseeing refinery dewatering processes, equipment, and safety protocols. Familiarity with pumps, belt presses, compressors, and other rotating machinery is often required.
Leadership and Team Management:
Supervisors must be able to effectively lead, motivate, and manage teams, often in challenging or high-pressure environments.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for communicating with employees, management, vendors and customers.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
The ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems related to operations, safety, or environmental concerns is vital.
Organizational and Project Management Skills:
Supervisors need to be able to organize work, manage projects, budgeting, invoicing and ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Regulations:
A strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards is necessary for ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe work environment.
Computer Proficiency:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other industry-specific software is often required. Ability to
