The Warehouse DepartmentManager oversees supervisory and management responsibilities withintheir department. As a key decision-maker, the Department Managerassigns and coordinates unloading tasks for warehouse freighthandlers by directing leads and backup leads. This role alsoincludes responsibility for ensuring the timely and accuratecompletion of administrative paperwork, including reporting dailyactivities to the corporate office. The Department Manager mustensure compliance with all FHI policies and procedures, promotingoperational excellence and team accountability. Shiftand Department:
4:00 AM start time in the Grocery (Dry Goods)
Warehouse Department Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday ( Subjectto change based on warehouse volume. Occasional weekends and/orholidays may be required. )
Compensation:
Competitive salary of$64,000 annually
Requirements:
A valid driver’s license ismandatory for this role. Unfortunately, we cannot considerapplicants who do not meet this requirement.
Responsibilitiesinclude:
Directs associates to perform operations safely andefficiently. Utilizes daily huddles with Associates to ensureoperating procedures and assignments are communicated properly.
Coordinates work assignments and ensures assignments are completedtimely. Communicates with associates, host management,transportation partners, and FHI leadership to ensure performancestandards and safety goals are accomplished. Responsible forhiring, promotions, and terminations of associates. Implementschanges for performance improvement. Maintains safety mindsetthrough daily safety inspections, adherence to safety policies, EHSSafety Audits, reporting potential safety threats; works withleadership to remedy threatening situations. Guarantee safeguardmeasures are being adhered to maintain cleanliness and adebris-free work area. Mentors and trains of new associates,subordinate team members (succession plan) Performs loadverification for accuracy Ensure Time Keeping (Kronos) Policies andprocedures are enforced and adhered to. Performs timekeepingaudits. Approves time. Accountable for successful completion ofload assignments daily Duties, responsibilities and activities maychange at any time at the discretion of management. Education:

Experience:
Experiencereceiving or unloading in a warehouse or distribution setting1years of leadership experience, preferred Forklift experience,preferred
Skills/Knowledge:
Knowledge of logistics, preferredAbility to speak and write English for effective communicationBasic math skills Attention to detail and ability to followdirections Leadership skills and ability to supervise people andproduction effectively Must have valid driver’s license and passbackground check
Work Environment:
This position is designated assafety-sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in aconstant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
Warehouse environment with extreme heat and cold temperatures.
Physical Demands:
Warehouse work environment with varyingtemperatures, at both hot and cold extremes Must be able to liftcases by hand weighing from 25 to 95 pounds, occasionally Must beable to operate warehouse/material moving equipment Ability tolift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat occasionally. Use ofstandard office equipment in typical officeenvironments/conditions. Ability to use close and distance visionto focus on a computer screen for the majority of the workday.
