Job Description As the Assistant Store Manager of our Woodbury Common Premium Outlet, you’ll help lead a fast-paced, high-volume store that still delivers a premium brand experience. You’ll work side-by-side with the Store Manager to develop a performance-driven team that can flex between self-service moments and personalized customer interaction—especially during peak traffic periods. You’ll support all day-to-day functions of the business, drive the team toward sales goals, and build a positive team culture rooted in accountability, hustle, and support. You’ll also play a key role in training and development, helping every team member grow in confidence, product knowledge, and brand representation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily: Leadership & Team Development Motivate and empower team members to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting. Lead by example through visibility on the floor, team coaching, and real-time feedback. Partner with the Store Manager to drive results through goal setting, daily priorities, and regular communication. Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance. Customer Experience Maintain high service standards, even during high-traffic or self-service moments. Lead the team in delivering solutions-oriented service and product knowledge across footwear, apparel, and accessories. Step in to resolve escalated customer concerns and model professionalism in difficult situations. Operations & Visuals Oversee store readiness, including cleanliness, product availability, and merchandising. Help manage inventory accuracy, markdown execution, and visual updates to meet outlet standards. Monitor and support loss prevention procedures to protect company assets. Training & Onboarding Support new hire onboarding and product training using brand tools and resources. Reinforce expectations and accountability through daily coaching and monthly touchpoints. Serve as a local Training Ambassador by engaging team members in ongoing learning. Marketing & Events Assist with local events and traffic-driving activities aligned with brand goals. Support content capture and localized social media opportunities in line with company guidelines. SAL/US Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

Experience leading in retail, preferably in high-volume or outlet environments. Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate others. Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask under pressure. Enthusiastic about the brand, outdoor culture, and creating a positive in-store experience. Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing and moving for extended periods. Additional Information

AVAILABILITY EXPECTATIONS
General:

Full-time; schedule may include morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Must be flexible to meet the business’s operational needs.

Peak Periods:
Black Friday:

All team members are required to work the day after Thanksgiving.

Holiday Season:

Availability required from the second week of December through early January (holiday return period).

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY

Fully responsible for all Assistant Store Manager responsibilities and expected to step into higher leadership duties when needed.

COMPENSATION

At the time of this posting, a reasonable estimated pay range is $26-30/hour. This range varies depending on the market location and type of store. Individual pay within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-specific skills, relevant experience, education, and training.
