MENTAL HEALTH SITE SUPERVISOR DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS

The incumbent provides leadership for the day to day decisions needing to be made in clinic sites; serving under the direction of the respective behavior health director overseeing the clinic site. The Mental Health Site Supervisor will provide clinical supervision as assigned by the Director; and all other duties as may be directed. In the context of clinical supervision the incumbent will be required to be certain ongoing caseload review, compliance corrections and productivity standards are adhered to for all supervisees. The Mental Health Site Supervisor will report to the respective behavioral health director assigned to the clinic site. The Mental Health Site Supervisor also does related work as required.

EXAMPLES OF WORK

(illustrative only) Assist the respective program director in the following areas: assuring clinical supervision is performed with the clinicians assigned to them; Address any corporate compliance corrections needing to be made by supervisees; Assure supervisees are working to obtain the productivity goal assigned to their respective position; Provide oversight to the clinic site in the absence of the director; Provide leadership to the clinic site in day to day operation decisions in consultation with the director; Maintain services for a caseload achieving the prescribed productivity goal; Does related work as required.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISITCS

Strong leadership skills and an ability to work in conjunction with administration in a commitment to maintaining clinic operations at the standard prescribed by regulatory authorities. Strong clinical skills and knowledge base of evidence based practices to implement and build these skills in supervisees; ability to encourage team work within the clinic site.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from a graduate school approved by the New York State Education Department with a Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field and four (4) years of experience in providing Mental Health treatment to include one (1) year of clinical staff supervision or one (1) year of Mental Health program administration. • Licensed Certified Social Worker “R” qualification is preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

Must be a New York State licensed Mental Health professional approved by the New York State Department of Education and NYS certification.
