Store Manager – Ship’s Store & Tackle Shop Sams Star Island Yacht Club Montauk, NY 11954 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy Ship’s Store and Fishing Tackle Shop located in the heart of Montauk. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for fishing, boating, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, seasonal retail environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge in fishing tackle and boating supplies Manage inventory levels and place orders with vendors Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail space Supervise and schedule seasonal staff Handle point-of-sale transactions and ensure accurate cash handling Coordinate with marina and dock staff as needed Qualifications Basic knowledge of fishing gear, bait, and techniques (local fishing experience a plus) Familiarity with common boating supplies and marine products Retail or management experience preferred Comfortable with early morning hours (some shifts start at 6:00 AM) Strong organizational and leadership skills Able to work longer hours during peak season (May-September)

Seasonal Note:

This is a seasonal position with full-time hours during the summer season. Reduced hours may be available during the off-season depending on business needs.
