The Assistant Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Regional Store Supervisor with the success of the store which includes operations, customer service and employee morale. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Assisting with on-boarding new hires ensuring that the appropriate paperwork is completed.
- Assisting with preparing and creating weekly schedules for all front of the house employees.
- Responsible for working the Floor and overseeing Floor Staff FOH Employees ensuring that all positions are covered and that the employees are completing their tasks and are motivated to work effectively.
- Assisting with catering requests ensuring that they are executed and fulfilled at Taco standards in a timely manner.
- Managing daily and weekly cash deposits and log and ensuring they are reconciled accurately.
- Assisting with tracking inventory of supplies and ordering more when necessary.
- Assist with training/re-training new and seasoned employees.
- Ensuring all store employees have completed the necessary trainings for both FOH and BOH staff.
- Work closely with Regional Store Supervisor in order to have a smooth operation.
- Maintaining a tidy and organized workspace stocked with essential supplies, while ensuring that services run smoothly.
- Maximizing customer satisfaction through handling requests or complaints.
- Ensure industry rules and regulations are followed.
- Ensuring Sales goals are met and developing plans to increase sales. Requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to plan and be proactive.
- Creative and effective problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of food service and nutritional guidelines.
- Be calm and effective under pressure, have good problem-solving skills, and be solution focused.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and to work collaboratively with upper management and other stakeholders to identify and facilitate needed improvements to the food service program.
- Resourceful, ability to self-start, take initiative, and follow through on tasks.
- Personable, flexible, and adaptable with a can-do attitude.
- Collaborative and team oriented.
Qualifications:
1-2+ Years’ experience in the food industry. ServSafe Allergen Certification required within 3 months of employment Bilingual in English/Spanish a Plus.
