Full Time . Evening Shift Melmark Overview Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders. Lead ABAC Overview The Lead ABAC is a residential supervisor with in-ratio responsibilities for the residential program and is responsible for assisting with the oversight of the clinical and administrative operations of assigned home. The Lead ABAC is responsible for assisting with the training and implementation of the clinical behavioral interventions and teaching strategies for individuals in the residential setting, with the support of the Behavior Analyst and Program Manager. In addition, the Lead ABAC will assist with ensuring that all requirements are met for acquiring and maintaining all applicable licenses, certifications, and accreditations. Populations served are intensely physically challenging. The Lead ABAC Position must be aware that individuals who are served may exhibit aggressive and/or self-injurious behavior. This requires the Lead ABAC to be constantly alert and ready to respond to the individual’s needs according to effective behavior analytic interventions.

Schedule and Salary Information Schedule:

3 weekday evening shifts, 1 weekend double shift

Starting Rate:

$25.00/hour (+) based on years of experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree with one (1) years’ experience preferred; Minimum requirement of Associate’s Degree or 60 College Credits and at least three (3) year experience with specialized populations.
A valid US driver’s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old. Completion of employer-certified training program in vehicle certification Ability to implement function-based interventions for the reduction of challenging behaviors. Experience in the principles and application of Applied Behavior Analysis. Lead ABAC Responsibilities Supports Program Manager in overseeing performance of employees, and follows proper procedures and documentation of individual’s health and safety needs including: hygiene, maintaining supervision needs and staffing ratios both on and off campus, completing proper documentation and notification (including sleep data and health indicators), implements all individualized plans as written, and responds appropriately during crisis situations.
Ensures care and active engagement both on and off campus for all individuals at all times in line with Melmark’s Mission and Core Commitments.
Actively works to address any challenges that arise during their working hours, and proposes solutions for overcoming those challenges and enhancing resident care. Communicates with the department leadership and/or Administrator on Call (AOC) when a situation requires immediate attention and consultation (e.g. parent concerns, staff concerns, health and safety concerns, etc.).
Oversees and adheres to house specific chores and schedule, including but not limited to, daily laundry, meal preparation, deep cleaning of items and areas and maintaining all program environments, including vans, according to safety standards and immediately informs program leadership of any hazards which may exist. Conducts rounds in all assigned homes and completes all required documentation.
Assists with the professional development, training and retraining all employees and new hires in all aspects of the ABAC-R and other assigned positions, along with all associated documentation regarding staff training and performance measures
Maintains and oversees organization and data entry of assigned case(s) program books and/or digital file (e.g., program book(s), data sheets, communication log, MEDS). Creates and maintains materials required for the implementation of the individualized plans for each assigned case(s), or as assigned by supervisors.
