Client Services Manager – Benefits (On-site) The Benecon Group 201 E Oregon Rd, Lititz, PA 17543

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing the consulting and brokerage engagement for assigned clients, which may consist of small, mid, and/or large-size fully insured and/or self-funded groups and consortiums. Operates with autonomy to schedule meetings, design reports and address the concerns of the client within the broad customer service guidelines established by management. Serves as a liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and third party administrators. Provides support to Sale Directors in developing new business opportunities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Direct or indirect supervision of Associate Account Manager(s).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Consults with assigned clients to strategically develop, manage, and administer health and welfare benefit plans, including but not limited to: – Monitoring, analyzing and researching utilization, experience and trends, and making recommendations for appropriate plan revisions. – Assuming accountability for financial reporting (plan performance reports), compliance issues, client billing, client contracting, etc. This includes reviewing, understanding, and explaining actuarial reports to clients so that plan decisions may be based on this information as well as identifying deficiencies and monitoring overall compliance of benefit programs, educating clients and recommending necessary changes. – Planning, developing and coordinating employee communication materials (annual enrollment, newsletters and publications) to promote understanding, including; written, oral, and electronic forms. Facilitating benefits presentations to all levels of an organization. Fosters team cohesion and shares accountability for successful working relationships within the consulting business. Promotes synergy with other departments in order to enhance the unique business model of Benecon. Initiate and promote continuous improvement of procedures, processes, standards and programs to gain cost-effectiveness and efficiency and execute implementation. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to travel up to 50% of the workweek. Must be able to sit or stand and type utilizing computer for up to 50% of the workday. Must be able to facilitate public presentations (e.g. open enrollment meetings, renewal meetings, etc.). If not traveling, must be able to maintain consistent, in-person, on-site attendance at the company’s headquarters. This position is not eligible for telecommuting or working remotely on a regular basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required. A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with health and welfare benefits programs, either as a broker/consultant, as a carrier representative, or as an employer required. Current, valid Pennsylvania resident insurance producer licenses to sell Accident & Health and Life & Fixed Annuities insurance required. Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation preferred. Required within 3 years of hire. Certified Self-Funding Specialist (CSFS) designation preferred. Required within two years after completion of GBA designation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to create and maintain strong relationships and deliver exceptional customer service (internal and external) required. Sharp negotiations skills required. Strong knowledge of health & welfare benefits plans and funding alternatives required. Ability to effectively present information to senior management and/or boards of directors required. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, apply such concepts to practical situations and explain concepts to others required. Ability to solve practical problems by defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions required. Ability to stay abreast of current trends and regulatory issues surrounding benefit plan design and administration required. Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations impacting employee benefits, including but not limited to ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, and HIPAA required. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical ability required. Strong written and verbal communication skills including exceptional grammar and proofreading ability required. Excellent organization skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and people, at all levels of an organization required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment required. Full range of computer skills and working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software required.
