Highway 72 East, Abbeville, SC 29620 Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to oversee operations in our paint and body service center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in auto glass, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical knowledge, along with excellent leadership skills. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient running of the shop while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Manage daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and staff assignments. Supervise and train technicians on best practices for vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, and repair processes. Ensure the proper use of power tools and equipment while maintaining a safe work environment. Oversee inventory management, including ordering parts and supplies as needed. Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality standards are met. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance customer satisfaction. Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements for efficiency. Maintain accurate records of services performed and manage shop documentation. Qualifications Proven experience in an automotive service environment, with a focus on auto glass repair or replacement preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with vehicle maintenance and repairs. Familiarity with auto painting techniques is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. Experience working in a dealership or similar setting is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team.
