As the Produce Manager, you will be the one responsible for the pricing and overall promotion of the produce department to maximize consumer appeal, and establishing relationships with vendors to improve our product range. An excellent Produce Manager must have extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and the retail environment. They must have a commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales principles. Exceptional communication skills are also key for Deli Managers. The goal is to increase sales and profitability of business to drive sustainable growth. A qualified applicant for this position will have the skills necessary to achieve the following: Provide excellent customer service Hire and train new staff Supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy Apply strategic planning to determine department objectives Monitor staff performance including performance reviews Formulate department/unit policies and practices Coordinate financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency Review performance data (financial, sales, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity for the achievement of department goals Requirements Must demonstrate efficiency and delicacy with potentially hazardous equipment (slicers, heated wrapping stations, knives, etc.). Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. This position is full-time with comparable pay and includes full health benefits, paid time off, and a 401k plan. Experience is highly recommended.
