Graphic Design Specialist + Print Department Team Lead Signatures Company LLC 327 Miller Road, Mauldin, SC 29662

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and talented Graphic Designer with the ability to operate print department equipment to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a keen eye for detail. Duties:

  • Responsible for being the internal creative design lead by conceptualizing visuals based on provided requirements that adhere to corporate brand standards. Create images and layouts by hand or using design software.
  • Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW Test graphics across various media.

  • DTF•Dye Sublimation•UV•Wide Format Prepare draft mockups and present ideas via email or other forms of internal written communication (Teams) with the ability to amend design after feedback.

Maintain internal production documentation regarding logo colorways, design placement, and decoration methods.

  • Operate in-house machinery to program, load, and run designs as applicable.

  • Maintain SOP documentation for all print department machinery and cross-train production staff on the use of equipment as needed. Cross training orders and instructions to be provided by Signatures’ Production Manager.
  • Identify machine malfunctions and maintenance issues and immediately report occurrences to Signatures’ Production Manager. All equipment should be functional at all times.
  • Assist Signatures’ Production Manager with equipment maintenance as assigned and audit maintenance records weekly to ensure no lapse in service occurs. Maintenance lapses should be reported to Signatures’ Production Manager and Leadership via email upon discovery.
  • Correspond with vendor partners for consultation on machine parts and supplies. Any necessary equipment purchases should be requested via email for approval to Signatures’ Production Manager and Leadership.
  • Lead machine part replacement initiatives as needed.
  • Provide weekly inventory of print department supplies to Signatures’ Production Manager.
  • Participate in continuous training on print department equipment and software on a reoccurring basis.
  • Ensure continued production flow in the department by executing the following tasks:
  • DTF order prints should be prepared 3 days in advance of all event order due dates.
  • Report staffing concerns and predicted timeline shortages to Signatures’ Production Manager.
  • Monitor order due dates and advise on order prioritization.
  • Identify quality concerns and report production errors to Signatures’ Production Manager immediately.
  • Oversee pink sheet sign off for all orders without fail.
  • Maintain program production inventory based upon volume projections and provided guidelines from leadership.
  • Attend first order walk through meetings as scheduled by Signatures’ Program Coordinator. 30%
  • Prepare Embroidery Designs for Production
  • Receive new digitization requests for embroidery via email and send for digitization. Within 48 hours, an approved version of the sew out much be provided to the requestor to present to the end user.
  • All sew outs require executive team approval. Provide to CEO and facilitate edits as requested.
  • Discuss design conflicts with leadership to guarantee alignment with internal capabilities. Design challenges should not be presented to the requestor until approved by leadership.
  • Upon receiving embroidery design approval via email, add designs to system records in Shopworks, Pulse, and account records as applicable.
  • Collaborate with team internally on appropriate thread color matches and verify accuracy with provided brand standards.
  • Manage pre-production embroidery job jacket basket to ensure timely setup of embroidery designs for production including Pulsespec sheets, decoration location, and needle/thread color documentation. Perform logo edits and adjustments as assigned. 10%
