DESCRIPTION
The Shop Supervisor provides leadership to branch personnel, shop upkeep, safety and maintenance, daily communications with all techs, closing work orders, and ensures good working relationships are maintained with customers, co-workers, sales and other branches.
FLSA STATUS
The U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires employers to classify their employees as being either exempt or non-exempt for the purpose of being paid overtime wages. The essential duties of this job are such that the employee is classified according to the FLSA as a Non-Exempt employee.

SCHEDULE
The standard work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, however, please note that as a salaried employee, there may be occasions when you’re expected to work outside of these hours to meet the demands of the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
: Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job. Lead all field and shop technicians to meet customer needs and expectations. Ensure all service technicians have the necessary tools to complete assignments. Ensure all work orders are opened and closed timely and billed in timely manner. Assist technicians in the repair and service of machinery in a supporting role, when necessary. Maintain up to date knowledge of all safety training, product training, and department goals. Ensure all company safety requirements are adhered to by service technicians. Complete assigned work including assisting technicians to achieve productivity goals and maintaining financial responsibility for shop and fleet expenses for assigned branch. Lead technicians to complete all training as required. Ensure all administrative functions are completed in a timely manner. Maintain supervisory oversight of service shop and the facilities yard. Responds positively to other duties that may be assigned in the scope of the job. Seeks formal and informal performance assessments, including performance versus expectations. Actively participates in required training, development programs, and electives as suits one’s needs. Maintains Branch at a Work In Progress (WIP) within targeted days of Last Day Labor (LDL) without sacrificing quality. All other duties assigned.

High School diploma and/or trade school completion in appropriate field.
Computer Skills:
The employee can use the equipment and software required to accomplish the responsibilities of this position. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Possesses good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safe job practices & regulations related to OSHA, MSHA and Ascendum Machinery requirements. Aptitude for repairing, trouble shooting, and servicing equipment in shop environment. Basic mechanical knowledge of tools and mechanical work for repairing equipment. Possesses strong attention to detail. Raises issues and concerns promptly. Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. Documents work in a clear and concise manner. Possesses and maintains a high degree of confidentiality. Possesses and maintains an approachable and friendly demeanor. Works independently with minimal direction and oversight. Proven ability to complete work with energy and enthusiasm. Customer orientation toward service and building relationships. Compatible to working branch hours and extended days as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
– Being able to meet the Physical Demands of the job is an essential duty of the job. While performing this job, employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The position requires the ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods. This position requires the ability to stoop, bend, climb and crawl without restrictions. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to safely operate and drive a vehicle to meetings and events. Employees are expected to meet the Physical Demands of the job.
