EAF MELTING.
The Melt Shop Supervisor will work in the Melting operations responsible for Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), Supervision, Training, Safety, Process Improvement, Quality, SOP, Planning, Team Development, Performance Assessments, Best Practices, etc. Must have at least five years’ experience supervising steel melt shop workers. Will improve production volume, reduce delays, and improve process reliability. Experience in continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing, especially as it applies to steel or other primary metals, is required. A strong background in automation in the steel industry is a plus. Requirements Prefer people with engineering degrees. However, will consider people with incomplete degrees who have solid experience in the steel industry or similar. Experience in Electric Furnace Melting, AOD Refining, or Continuous Casting preferred. Must be comfortable using MS Office tools for reports and data collection. Should have experience with continuous improvement in a safety-first environment. Qualifications Prefer people with engineering degrees.
