Must take 3 minute personality assessment to be considered for this position https://assessment.predictiveindex.com/bo/639V/ASSISTANTSTOREMANAGER_Jun2025_12172 Responsibilities Support the Store Manager in daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient store performance Lead and supervise store personnel to maintain high standards of customer service, safety, and productivity Assist with scheduling, training, and development of team members Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure stock availability and accuracy Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally to maintain positive relationships Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment that reflects RoMac standards Enforce company policies, procedures, and compliance standards Contribute to sales growth by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate building materials Utilize BisTrack (or similar system) to manage transactions, inventory, and reporting Act as the manager-on-duty in the absence of the Store Manager Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed Collaborate with other departments and locations to ensure excellent service across all customer touchpoints Qualifications Previous building supply management experience, preferred Ability to direct and train others effectively as a team leader Well-developed problem-solving abilities and strong conflict resolution skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills related to the lumber and supply industry Proficiency using a computer Customer service experience Must be able to multitask, take action in fast paced environment BisTrack or similar building supply computer system a plus Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a drug test About Our Company With over 500 employees RoMac Building Supply is one of Florida’s premier residential and commercial building material suppliers.
