Machine Shop Manager Position Available In York, South Carolina

Machine Shop Manager 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Rock Hill, SC 29730 We have an immediate need for a 1st shift (7:00am-5:30pm) manager to oversee operations in Rock Hill. Duties will include running CNC & manual equipment and also interfacing with customer to identify needs and offer options based on shop capabilities. Per company policy all candidates are required to have a valid driver’s license and pass a preemployment drug test, physical and criminal background check. The qualified candidate should also have advanced skill sets in the following items: Proven ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience with developing estimates for clients. This would include creating accurate bill of materials and labor requirements for each part. Experience with quality control procedures and inspection methods required for checking complex parts
• Must be able to set up and run manual lathes, mills and drill presses Must be able to develop CNC programs, provide set ups and run CNC mills and lathes
• Attention to detail and the ability to problem solve independently is a must Experience with Auto-Cad, Inventor or Fusion is a plus
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (60-70 lbs.) daily if required Must be able to communicate effectively to all team members
• Should be a critical thinker, able to look at ways to solve machining issues that may arise with complex parts
