Steel Fabrication Shop Supervisor 2.4 2.4 out of 5 stars 1905 Mines Road, Pulaski, TN 38478 We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fabrication Shop Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our steel fabrication shop, ensuring efficient production and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate activities of shop floor personnel engaged in steel fabrication. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production. Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow to meet deadlines and customer requirements. Train, mentor, and support shop staff in fabrication techniques and quality standards. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements at all times. Maintain inventory levels and order materials as needed to support production schedules. Inspect fabricated products to ensure they meet quality standards before shipment. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve any production issues or design changes. Implement and enforce shop policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity. Requirements Proven experience (3 years) as a Steel Fabricator or similar role, with demonstrated ability in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of welding techniques and processes (MIG, TIG, Arc welding, etc.). Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in MS Office and industry-specific software. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification (e.g., AWS welding certification) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
