Position Summary:

The Thrift Store Key Holder provides essential coverage and leadership support at one of our three thrift stores, helping to ensure store operations run smoothly in the absence of management. This role directly contributes to our mission by supporting store operations that fund critical community programs and by helping maintain a welcoming, organized, and affordable retail space for our neighbors.

What You’ll Do:

We’re looking for a Key Holder who’s excited about leading by example and ensuring operational excellence at our thrift stores. If you’re someone who’s dependable, customer-focused, and takes initiative, this could be the perfect fit. On a typical day, you’ll: Open or close the store and oversee operations when management is unavailable Manage the register, perform daily reconciliation, and troubleshoot minor tech issues Receive, sort, and process donations according to guidelines Maintain a clean, organized store environment and submit facility requests as needed Provide excellent customer service and assist donors bringing in items What You Bring to the

At least 1 year of experience in customer service; At least 2 years of retail experience strongly preferred Ability to give clear directions, work independently, and manage daily operations Calm, professional communication style and a heart for serving all community members

Schedule:

Regular, punctual attendance required. Weekday and Saturday shifts possible between 9:30am-6:30pm.

Equipment/Technology:

Must be able to operate a computer, point-of-sale (POS) system, and learn software tools like Google Suite and Clover POS.

Physical Requirements:
