Manages the sales process and staff to support the fulfillment of branch objectives, specifically customer satisfaction, market share growth, and profitability. This position serves as the key driver for process development and improvement, training, communication and execution among the replacement sales team. Essential

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the hiring, training, professional development, results and integration of replacement sales consultants, ensuring the fulfillment of branch objectives (primary objectives are: customer satisfaction, market share growth and profitability).

Provides training, coaching and/or workload adjustments as necessary o 40% of time is spent in the field with replacement sales consultants on ride-alongs and sales calls providing training and coaching.

  • Develops and implements sales strategies, selling tools, reporting tools and metrics to evaluate performance and anticipate needs of the sales team and the market
  • Develops and maintains an adequate understanding of Pella products and systems in order to direct others, answer questions from customers or direct reports, drive accuracy of pricing and order entry, and maximize opportunities to meet customer needs
  • Regularly partners with direct report sales consultants to call on customers.
  • Ensures consistency of customer experience and sales process though training and coaching
  • Drives sales representative usage of Salesforce as a business and project management tool. Executes reporting capabilities within Salesforce and utilizes the functionality of this system to manage and forecast replacement segment business
  • Researches and communicates market or competitive information that may be useful to the organization. Works to sustain and grow Pella’s residential replacement market share as measured by Pella Corporation.
  • Local or regional travel will be required. A valid driver’s license and ability to comply with company Fleet Safety Policy as an authorized driver is required
  • Assist with and manage distribution of daily sales appointments. Personnel Management
  • Responsible for hiring and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining behaviors; addressing and resolving concerns and facilitating professional development of all retail sales staff; Communicates expectations and provides factual and timely feedback to direct reports
  • Develops and implements plans for long-term training, motivation and development for each subordinate to maximize results, job satisfaction and professional development. Remains alert to changing signals in employee engagement. o Plans and conducts 2 replacement sales meetings monthly.
  • Acts as a liaison in creating proactive communication between all departments.

This includes working closely with order fulfillment, service, human resources and finance to identify and resolve potential customer, employee, process or training issues. Maintains open lines of communication and seeks input of others to ensure constantly improving levels of customer satisfaction. Fosters integration throughout the entire organization.

  • Assists in the development of the annual budget and manages budgeted revenue and spending for area of responsibility; Manages returns and allowances for direct reports
  • Develops, documents, implements and enforces sales and business related processes designed to drive results, consistency and continuous improvement
  • Acts as a point of contact for and cooperates with requests from Pella Corporation and the other subsidiary sales branches. Ensures consistency and continuous improvement of processes and policies between Pella Products, Inc., other Pella Sales Subsidiaries and Pella Corporation Other General Responsibilities
  • Attends appropriate professional seminars and workshops and review reading materials and professional journals to keep current with changing business needs and the market.
  • Facilitates department or company meetings/training sessions, etc.

Education and/or Experience BS/BA with three (3) to five (5) years sales management or general business experience required. Must be experienced in practices of employee supervision, process and policy development and implementation etc. Must have the ability to manage multiple-tasks in an environment of constant interruptions and be able prioritize responsibilities. Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and/or window and door applications or components is preferable.
