Why Work at KARM Stores? 25% off employee discount All team members are eligible for a 90-day raise Career Growth Opportunities Summary The Volunteer Programs Manager supports the mission of KARM Stores by designing, implementing, and managing long-term volunteer programs that align with the organization’s values and operational goals. This role focuses on building structured volunteer opportunities, increasing engagement, and developing strong partnerships to enhance impact and retention. Under direct supervision of the Senior Volunteer Engagement Manager and in collaboration with the volunteer team members, this manager will create volunteer recruitment pipelines, lead program innovation, and equip KARM Stores staff in supporting volunteer efforts. Essential Functions of the Job Design, implement, and maintain structured volunteer programs including recurring roles, skill-based assignments, internships, student service pathways, and workforce development placements. Collaborate with Senior Volunteer Engagement Manager and store managers to identify strategic and recurring volunteer needs. Coordinate volunteer scheduling tools (e.g., Acuity), maintain calendars, and ensure accurate volunteer placement. Collaborate with the Senior Volunteer Engagement Manager to build SOPs and training materials in coordination with the Training Team. Gather and analyze feedback from volunteers and store staff to improve existing programs. Design and assist with volunteer appreciation events and recognition systems, especially for long-term or program-affiliated volunteers. Develop and manage volunteer recruitment through partnerships with schools, colleges, churches, and civic organizations. Host orientations, interest sessions, and attend volunteer fairs and outreach events. Provide consistent support, communication, and encouragement to long-term volunteers. Utilize a volunteer management system to support the effective coordination, oversight, and continuous improvement of the volunteer program. Generate and provide volunteer program reports as requested by the Senior Volunteer Engagement Manager, leveraging the volunteer management system. Collaborate with the Senior Volunteer Engagement Manager to align volunteer initiatives with overall organizational goals and participate in planning and strategy meetings to promote volunteer growth and innovation.
