Basic Job Functions:
Responsibilities of the Detailing Group Leader include, but not limited to: Effectively leading a team of Detailers by providing direction, instruction, and guidance. Ensuring project schedules and deadlines are met. Continual communication with other Detailing Group Leaders, Scheduler, Trainer, and teams throughout the division. Along with the Supervisor, the Detailing Group Leader offers team and teammate development, direction, and feedback opportunities by: Setting expectations for progress, productivity, quality, participation, and conduct (qualify, efficiency, work, habits, overtime, etc.). Maximize department effectiveness through mentoring, coaching, and leading individuals to realize and leverage their full potential. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training teammates. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Experience with Microsoft Office software Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree / Certificate with focus on architecture, steel construction, or related field Leadership experience Experience in steel or related industry Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
