This is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone who is driven, proactive, and eager to build a career in insurance sales and client service. As a New Sales Assistant, you’ll be immersed in the world of surety bonds and client service, learning from a highly collaborative team while preparing to become a licensed producer. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment, values professional growth, and is excited to help clients meet their bonding and business needs. Once licensed, this role includes commission opportunities. Key Responsibilities Onboard and learn about commercial surety products, customer needs, and internal sales and service processes Understand core surety products and how they support business clients Learn how to support the sales process, including submissions, renewals, and quoting Develop proficiency in internal tools, CRM systems, and carrier platforms Begin engaging with clients and carrier partners with guidance Support producers by preparing submissions, collecting documentation, and communicating with underwriters Track sales activity and pipeline in internal systems and assist with reporting and follow-ups Proactively seek out learning opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement of processes Training & Development Milestones Month 1: Foundational onboarding, surety education, and systems training Month 2: Begin supporting client-facing activity and producer interactions By Month 4: Sit for and pass the Property & Casualty insurance licensing exam
Note:
Passing the Property & Casualty license exam is a condition of employment and must be completed within the first 4 months. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment Comfort working with technology, including CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the insurance industry is a plus but not required Genuine interest in a long-term sales or client service career in insurance Strong self-starter with a proactive, curious mindset
