About Diamond Mountain :

Diamond Mountain is a Herkimer diamond quartz mine in Little Falls, New York. Considered to be a “Collector’s Mine,” the site is known for its world-class deposit of minerals, including rarities such as Herkimer diamond black stem scepters, barbells, and skeletals. In addition to welcoming diggers to the property to search for their own crystals, developing a mining-themed bed and breakfast at the house on site (“the Diamond House”), Diamond Mountain is also a fine mineral sales company

• offering specimens from our own mine, from the owners’ crystal digging travels across the U.S., and material that we import from around the globe. We sell the majority of our crystals online through weekly Live Shows on Facebook. Diamond Mountain’s Crystal Sales organization is growing and we are looking for support in our sales studio!

Job Title:

Crystal Studio Assistant The Crystal Sales Studio Assistant is a part time position. This role serves as a customer service and administrative/office assistant, supporting our online live streaming (“live sales”) and general business operations at the Diamond House 20 hours per week, with potential to grow into a full time position. The Crystal Sales Studio Assistant must be local to Little Falls, NY and be able to provide their own transportation.

Weekly Responsibilities Include:

• Answering customer inquiries and requests in our business inbox.
• Providing support with set up and presentation of our three weekly social media Live Sales (Mondays at 7 pm est, Wednesdays at 5 pm est, Thursdays at 1 pm est)
• Processing post-live show (clearing table for next show, organizing items for invoicing, restocking unsold items.)
• Invoicing customers for sales
• Creating/printing new mineral ID tags using Avery label-making software.
• Cutting price tags/mineral ID tags
• Fulfilling customer requests (e.g. Taking photos of crystal specimens, pricing, and offering to online customers) The ideal candidate for this position…
• Must be able to type accurately and quickly.
• Has impeccable customer service skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Must be computer/tech savvy, able to independently troubleshoot tech issues.
• Must be familiar with/able to navigate basic computer programs (Word Processor, Spreadsheets, Google Drive, Gmail)
• Flexible, able to think quickly on their feet and pivot between numerous tasks.
• Has experience navigating various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and is comfortable using their own social media accounts.
• Can remember instructions, is ORGANIZED, and efficient.

Other Desirable Skills/Qualities:

• Knowledge of or interest in crystals and minerals is a plus!
• Outgoing, comfortable with public speaking (could you see yourself presenting a mineral to an audience on camera? We want to talk to you!)
• Experience with product photography is a plus!
• Administrative experience
• Experience using PayPal
• Quick learner with a sharp memory
• Takes initiative, and flexible and willing to help wherever needed
• The Crystal Studio Assistant will report to our Director of Sales and Marketing and will work closely with our full time Crystal Studio Coordinator.

Compensation :

Training Rate at New York minimum wage ($15.50/hour), with opportunities to grow ($16

• 20) after a 60 day probationary period

Hours:

20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

• Schedule includes evening shifts on alternating Mondays/Wednesdays.
• Role has the potential to grow into a full time position
