- Engineer Scientist Level IX
- Responsibilities
- + Provide senior-level engineering and technical support for the design, development, integration, evaluation, and sustainment of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and their supporting systems.
+ Lead implementation of a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) in the development and modernization of UAS capabilities. + Conduct and review engineering analyses of mission system architecture, cybersecurity, aircraft survivability, and system performance to ensure compliance with government and mission requirements. + Assess and support the development and management of digital product data, digital thread framework, and engineering source data to enhance lifecycle product support. + Review and analyze Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Deviation/Waiver, and technical publications for logistics and engineering impacts. + Provide expert-level technical support for system sustainment, including design reviews, engineering investigations, lifecycle sustainment planning, and logistics product data management. + Support the planning, integration, and sustainment of mission-critical IT systems including hardware/software environments, cybersecurity compliance, and disaster recovery readiness. + Lead or support development and validation of training systems, courseware, and training aids for UAS operator and maintainer training, including Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI). + Participate in and support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), technical reviews, logistics demonstrations, validation and verification events, and government acceptance testing. + Analyze and manage data rights, provisioning data, technical data packages (TDPs), and lifecycle sustainment documentation to ensure alignment with operational readiness and logistics systems. + Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure synchronization of engineering, logistics, training, and cybersecurity activities across the UAS lifecycle.
