Technical Sales Engineer Contraix Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 • Hybrid work Job Overview Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing new business, managing client relationships, and providing expert technical support on our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and services. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities in the construction, infrastructure, and government sectors. Interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare and present accurate proposals and quotations. Conduct client meetings, site visits, and technical presentations to promote Contraix’s services. Collaborate with the engineering and project teams to define project scope, budgets, and timelines. Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including value engineering solutions. Prepare bid documentation, sales forecasts, and sales reports. Stay up to date with MEP codes, industry trends, and competitor offerings. Represent Contraix at trade shows, client meetings, and industry events. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field). 3+ years of experience in MEP, construction, or a related technical sales role. Strong understanding of HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical systems. Proficiency with reading technical drawings and BOQs. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and proposal writing skills. Fluency in English (Spanish or Dutch is a plus). Willingness to travel within the Caribbean region as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with government tenders and international procurement. Familiarity with NFPA, IEC, and regional building codes.
