Typically reportingto the Regional Engineering Manager, you’ll be working alongsidesome of the most skilled field engineers in the industry. In collaboration with our Product Management andSoftware Development teams, you will play a pivotal role insteering product developments, offerings, and strategic directionto best serve our customers and prospects. Supported by theexpertise of our world class Arista TAC, cutting-edgeproof-of-concept resources, and support of the executive team, youare well-positioned to lead and innovate within the industry. What You’ll DoAs a critical member of the Arista Sales Engineeringteam, you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, gatheringrequirements and identifying opportunities with existing and newcustomers in the area. Collaborate with Arista Account Managers to gain an in-depthunderstanding of our enterprise and commercial clients and conductwhiteboard network architectural reviews to identify areas forimprovement in network performance and efficiency Conduct Arista product presentations of Arista’s OpenNetworking Data Center and Cognitive Campus (including Wi-Fi)networking solutions, CloudVision (Network Automation), Security(Network Detection), Endpoint Security, and Real-time FabricMonitoring solutions Utilize your expertise in network design and implementation,including leaf and spine architectures involving overlaytechnologies such as VxLAN and EVPN, to create consistent andhighly scalable Arista Data Center and Campus network solutionsthat improve network performance and efficiency for our enterpriseand commercial clients in the region Conduct thorough hands-on testing of customer proof-of-conceptsetups, Data Center and/or Campus network designs, and networkdeployments using the latest Arista products and features. Thistesting will ensure the successful deployment and performance ofArista network solutions that meet the specific needs of ourclients and prospects in the region Offer design guidelines and provide recommendations to ourclients and prospects in the region to enhance the performance andefficiency of the networks they support. These recommendations willbalance specific customer needs with proven Arista ValidatedDesigns to meet the specific needs of our clients and designed tooptimize their network infrastructure. Collaborate with the sales team to respond to RFP/RFQs andprovide valuable customer feedback to Product Management andEngineering. Through your expertise and insights, you will help to ensurethat Arista network solutions meet the needs of our clients andprospects in the region. As a member of the Arista SalesEngineering team, you will help drive features, functions, andproduct development through your feedback and help shape the futureof our network solutions. Serve as a representative of Arista at SDN and other OpenNetworking industry events and conferences. Through your expertiseand thought leadership, you will help to build awareness andpromote Arista’s innovative network solutions. Stay current with industry trends and advancements innetworking technology, including competitive solutions, products,and services Author and collaborate on informative white papers on Aristatechnology and products that showcase your expertise in networkdesign and implementation and help solve real world customerchallenges.
Qualifications Network Industry Certification preferred, such as ACE-L4,ACE-L6, ACE-L7, and others. Minimum of 5 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design andimplementation with a focus on Data Center, Campus, and Wi-Fisolutions. Expert-level experience with routing and switching, includingL2/L3 protocols, as well as overlay technologies such asVxLAN. Current hands-on experience in designing highly scalableleaf-spine network architectures. Proven work experience as a Sles Engineer, Solutions Architect,Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer is preferred. Expert knowledge in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing,TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, andQoS. Good understanding of the competitor technology landscape,specifically Cisco and Juniper. Expert-level knowledge of the industry-standard Command LineInterface (CLI). Previous experience building network automation using Pythonand Ansible is highly desired. Strong writing skills and ability to create informative whitepapers on technology and products is highly desired.
